Planningtorock, “Doorway”
Britain-by-Berlin electronic artist Planningtorock (aka Janine Rostron) first came to my attention when she opened for The Knife on their Silent Shout tour in ‘06, and then again when collaborated with them on Tomorrow, in a Year. She releases her new album W on May 16 through DFA and Rostron. This is the video for a very Knifey, very promising new track from it, “DOORWAY.” Enjoy.
And be sure to check out her debut album, Have it All. It’s alien-sounding without being alienating. Again, like The Knife.
